1. After a 7-year studio recording hiatus, the famous trio got back together after various solo projects. Nash's "Just A Song Before I Go", was the big hit on the album. Nash's hauntingly beautiful "Cathedral" and Stills' "Dark Star" are the FM hits.

5. May 18,  · DARK STAR have travelled far to reach this album, but, in many ways, they haven't travelled at all. The overall sound hasn't changed since the "No Sign Of Intelligent Life" period - JOHN CARPENTER is still the major leaping off point here/5(12).

6. the shrine auditorium was the setting for many a fine grateful dead concert. along with other famous west coast venues like the fillmore, winterland and the carousel ballroom, soon became part of 60's dead legend!! this release is part of that legend and captures some of that early energy, and includes some really GREAT songs.. and what a showcase for the power of /5(57).

7. It contains five tracks off the first three Dark Star cassette releases and four tracks off the "Headtrip" CD. All tracks were remastered by Wouter Brandenburg at Brandenburg Mastering. Actual vinyl copies are still available from Knekelhuis on Bandcamp.
